Human responsibility must remain at the heart of AI-based solutions, and a transparent and ethical approach should be followed throughout the development and deployment processes.
  • From Principles to Action: The Montreal Declaration for the Responsible Development of Artificial Intelligence was presented as a guide for evaluating the compatibility of an AI system with human flourishing, placing human rights at its core.
  • Towards Better AI Governance: AI governance requires international cooperation and collaboration between countries to avoid a race to the bottom in regulations. Principles and security engineering methods can contribute to designing AI systems that are safer and more trustworthy.
  • Promoting Ethics in AI: The discussion emphasized the need to integrate ethical perspectives in AI to address the complex moral dilemmas caused by automated AI systems.
  • Strengthening AI Systems' Security: AI system security requires a granular assessment of potential impacts and the integration of ethical reasoning throughout the AI lifecycle.
  • Regulation and International Cooperation: Regulating AI poses legal challenges and requires democratic dialogue to inform regulatory decisions and ensure AI is more inclusive and human-centric.
